Comperit privacy notice

Comperit is a mobile app for finding, comparing, and contacting local vendors. This notice is published by the Comperit team (Clicksint) for the internal testing and beta programme. The public site is comperit.in. Contact hello@comperit.app.

Testers of Comperit Android and iOS internal testing, closed testing, or beta builds. The live product may change. We will update this page when collection practices change.

We collect only what the app needs to run the features you use. Depending on your role (customer or vendor) and the permissions you grant, that can include:

• Account and profile. Email address, password (stored as a hash, not plaintext), name, phone number if you add one, country, language, display currency, and profile photo. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account identifier, email, name, and profile photo that Google shares with the app.
• Location. If you allow location, the app reads your device position to show nearby vendors, distances, and promoted campaigns relevant to your area. Vendors also save business locations and service areas (address, map pin, and coverage). You can refuse location and still browse with a default area.
• Photos and files. Images and documents you upload: avatars, vendor logos and banners, service photos, campaign creatives, chat attachments, and files attached to a report.
• Microphone. Used only when you record a voice note in chat. Audio is uploaded as a chat attachment. The mic is not used in the background.
• Chat and other user content. Messages, attachments, and voice notes between customers and vendors. Conversation participants can see this content. Comperit staff may review reported content to handle abuse.
• Reviews. Ratings and review text you submit. Reviews can appear on the vendor’s public profile for other testers.
• Push notifications (FCM). A device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send chat, appointment, and other in-app alerts. You can turn push off in settings. Email notification preferences are stored if you use email alerts.
• Maps and Places. Map tiles and address autocomplete go through Google Maps and Google Places. That can include coordinates, typed address queries, and selected place details.
• Payments (Paystack). Vendor subscriptions, promoted campaigns, and referral payout bank details are processed by Paystack. We receive payment status, references, amount, and (for payouts) the bank account details you submit so Paystack can resolve the account. We do not store full card numbers.
• Vendor KYC (Dojah). Vendors who verify identity or CAC business registration are sent through Dojah. That can include name, email, ID type (for example NIN), business RC or BN number, legal business name, and whatever selfie or ID capture Dojah’s widget requires. We store verification status and provider audit IDs. We do not intend to keep government ID images long-term.
• App activity needed to operate the service. Search and compare lists, saved vendors, appointments, CRM notes vendors keep about leads, referrals, notification preferences, and similar product data.

• Create and secure your tester account, including email OTP and Google Sign-In.
• Show nearby vendors and promoted campaigns, and display vendor locations on maps.
• Enable chat, reviews, bookings, and vendor tools (services, campaigns, CRM).
• Process payments and payouts through Paystack, and vendor KYC through Dojah.
• Send push and email notifications you have enabled.
• Respond to tester support requests and handle reported content.

We do not sell personal data. We share data with processors who help run this test:

• Our API and database hosting (the Comperit backend).
• Cloudflare, including Pages for this website and R2 for uploaded files.
• Google, for Sign-In, Maps, Places, and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Paystack, for payments and bank-account resolution.
• Dojah, for vendor identity and business verification.

Those companies process data under their own terms. Chat, reviews, and public vendor profiles are visible to other testers as part of the product.

We keep tester data while the account is active and as needed to operate the beta. Session tokens expire. Uploaded files stay until you replace them, we delete the account, or we reset test data. Payment references and KYC audit IDs may be kept longer where needed for fraud, accounting, or provider audit.

The test build does not yet include an in-app delete-account button. Email hello@comperit.app from the address on your tester account. Ask us to delete the account. We will delete or anonymize personal data we control, usually within 30 days. Some payment or verification records may remain where we or a processor must keep them.

• Location, microphone, photos, and notifications are controlled by device permission prompts and in-app settings.
• You can create an account with email instead of Google Sign-In.
• You can refuse vendor KYC. Unverified vendors may not get a public listing.
• You can request a copy or deletion of tester data by emailing hello@comperit.app.

Comperit is not directed at children under 13. Testers should be 18 or older.

If collection practices change, we will update this page and the last-updated date. This remains a testing notice until we publish a production policy.
